FLAPPER PIE
COMBINE THE FOLLOWING AND PAT INTO A PIE PLATE. BAKE 375 DEGREES FOR 8 MINUTES.
1 1/4 cups graham crumbs
1/3 cups soft or melted butter
1/4 cup sugar
In a saucepan combine together:
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbs cornstarch
1 tbs flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups milk |
and boil 5 minutes
then from the ingredients below,
2 egg yolks beaten 1 tsp salt
1 tbs butter
1 tsp vanilla

add saucepan mix to beaten yolk, a bit at a time, then back to saucepan until all yolk is in the saucepan mixture. Cook a minute longer and add butter and vanilla. Cool 10 minutes and pour into crum crusts. Cool to merangue and let set at least 3 hours.
MERANGUE
2 egg whites 1/4 cup sugar
Beat into peaks. Spread over cool pie and bake 425 degrees.
