New Game: By Popular request we are adding a new Limited Game 0-500. It will be held every Tuesday at 1:00PM. Please spread the word and tell your friends!

On Line Bridge Etiquette - Playing on BBO has serveral differences than playing face to face.

1. You must pre alert your own bids, unlike before where as your partner alerted your bid. Before you bid type in what the alert is (example transfer) then bid, it will then send the alert to your opponents (your partner will not see it). If you have a question about a bid, click on the bid and a message will be sent to them to explain it.

2. You must post a convention card otherwise you will be playing a SAYC (standard american yellow conventon card). It also is very helpful if you announce your general approach and carding. Example would be 2/1 UDCA (upside down count and attitude) or Standard carding etc.

3. Identity- I realize you are not required to put your real name in you profile, however everyone (including myself) would like to know who you are. We are all friends! Not required however highly recommended.

4. We will now have hand records for all games, these are pre-duplicated hands from the common game!

5. All results and hand records will be available on our websites www.sandiegobridgeclub.com and www.eastlakebridgeclub.com. Once there click on the calender, go to the day and click on results and hand records.

​As only our club players are sanctioned to play in our virtual games, and you get a message "YOU ARE BLOCKED" call me or text me at 619-847-3001 and I will fix it.

INSTRUCTIONS to PLAY ONLINE (watch the video below):

First task is for everyone to join BBO (it's free to join) and create a BBO Screen name and become familiar with the site. Here's a great video from the Sagamore Bridge Club to help learn.

1. Click www.bridgebase.com after watching the video. 

2. If you are a member of BBO, Log on, or click "Register"

3. It's free to play however to play in sanctioned games and earn masterpoints, then there will be al charge. To add funds click on the button "BB$" and follow instructions. This is a perfectly safe site and we have had accounts there for years. To play in our virtual club game the cost is $5.00 per session.

4. After closing the BB$ box, go back to the original BBO homepage (click "HOME")

5. Under "Play or Watch" click on  "COMPETITIVE" then select "ACBL VIRTUAL CLUBS".

6. Look for VACB272799 San Diego/Eastlake Bridge Club. (Remember: the games are not listed until 2-hours before the scheduled start time)

7. Click on the Eastlake or San Diego name and Add yourself and put in your partner's screen name. Both players need to be logged on to register for a game. If you are early to register, you can log off and log back on close to game time. Your registration is still intact.
