This was brought to the Potluck my Jane McGill. It was a BIG hit and she had many requests for the recipe which she has graciously provided for us.

1 (18.25 ounce) German chocolate cake mix
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted and cooled
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Topping
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1 pound powdered sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Mix cake mix with butter and eggs. Beat until well blended. Fold in pecans. Pat mixture into greased 9-by-13 inch pan. Beat topping ingredients together and spread over unbaked cake mixture. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 30 minutes.
