COURSE OUTLINE

WEEK 1:   Opening no trump ranges. Bidding strong balanced hands; finding major suit fits with strong hands; whether to play in suit or no trump with weak hands.

WEEK 2:   Finding slams in no trump; opening range for strong balanced hands; inviting game in no trump; interference

WEEK 3:   Introduction to Stayman; finding a major suit fit; responding to Stayman with fit and without a fit.

WEEK 4:   Bidding Stayman with 2 four card majors; inviting game when fit is found; inviting game with no fit; when to accept a game invitation.

WEEK 5:   Introduction to Jacoby Transfers. Why we use transfers; transferring with a weak hand; showing a 6 card major; transferring over strong opening hands.

WEEK 6:   Bidding game when partner opens no trump; giving opener a choice of suit or no trump; when to reject a game invitation; using transfers over 2C opening bids.
