PECAN PIE BARS
(FROM BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS AWARD WINNING)

Oven: 350 Makes: 24 bars
1 ¼ cup flour 2 eggs, slightly beaten
½ cup powdered sugar 1 cup chopped pecans
¼ tsp salt ¼ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup butter ½ cup light-colored corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1. Preheat oven 350. For crust, in a med bowl combine flour.

Using a pastry blender cut in the ½ cup butter until mix
resembles coarse crumbs. Pat into an ungreased 11 x 7 1 ½
inch baking pan. Bake 20 minutes until golden brown
2. Meanwhile for filling, mix together eggs, pecans, brown sugar,
corn syrup, the 2 tbs melted butter and vanilla Pour over the
baked crust, spreading evenly.
3. Bake 20 minutes more or until filling is set. Cool in pan on
a wire rack. Cut into bars. Cover and store in refrigerator.
